Thousands of current and ex-Blizzard employees sent an open letter to the company requesting change D2R Items. They even went as to hold a strike. In the wake of the lawsuit's allegations, Blizzard president J. Allen Brack announced that he would leave the company.

Diablo was the subject at one of the initial sessions that took place on the first day in BlizzCon 2008. and is the primary player in one of the last. While the first session was mainly focused on giving insight into the skill set of the most recent Diablo player, the wizard. The second session was heavily focused on the game's design philosophy by Blizzard the demonic action role-playing game.

Diablo leading design Jay Wilson and technical game director Wyatt Cheng returned to helm the panel, with Cheng playing the role of a silent participant during the presentation. As he had done just days earlier, Wilson began by looking back at the history of Diablo.

Taking note of the core aspects of gameplay in the franchise. Diablo, Wilson began, was a reinvigoration of the market for role-playing games, providing a basic, action-based play experience with random dungeon and item drops. Diablo's primary contribution was to further refine the mechanics of the earlier game in addition to vastly expanding the universe's scope.

With these elements with these in mind Wilson explained what he and his team intended to accomplish through Diablo. In the first place, it was vital to keep true to the Diablo experience. "We wanted a game that was played by players D2R ladder items buy, they were essentially saying, 'Yeah this is what feels right.'"
